Tagnetics History Print E-mail

Tagnetics’ core technology was originally invented by Dr. Kenneth Kayser whose vision was to develop a highly reliable low cost price display product for the grocery retail industry. Dr. Kayser developed the technology including a custom integrated circuit which proved that the technology was a viable solution for retail pricing. Later, Hobart Corporation of Troy, Ohio acquired an interest in the technology and took over development of the product. During this time Hobart applied their rigorous product standards to shape the technology into a fully commercialized product hardened for the retail environment.

In 2003 Tagnetics was formed as a private independent company with a mission to bring the Electronic Shelf Label product to market and continue to refine the already robust technology. Today Tagnetics’ proven ESL solution has been recognized by retailers as having a rich feature set, aesthetically pleasing appearance, reliable operation, low cost of ownership and fast payback.
